Vernal Pools are wetland
depressions that hold water for at least two consecutive months
of the year and are devoid of breeding fish populations. These
unique pools allow
many species of amphibians such as the threatened Pine Barren
Tree Frog,
insects, reptiles, plants and other wildlife to thrive.
